Details:
Here's a bit of the buzz that Mixed Signals has created in the past months:

Sac Rocks: KRXQ 98 Rock, Sacramento CA's rock radio station, chose our single, "October," to appear on their "Sacramento Rocks Vol. 10" CD, a compilation of the capital city's best local music (www.krxq.net/local_licks/index.php). A decade-long NorCal tradition, the Sac Rocks CD's has included the major-label likes of Oleander, Papa Roach, and Die Trying. We made the CD in less than 1 year after our forming.

The Jammies: Out of the forty-four bands that auditioned, Mixed Signals was one of only three rock bands selected for the 1st annual Jammies show held at the Mondavi Center, UC Davis (www.newsreview.com/issues/sacto/2003-05-22/jammies7.asp) before a crowd of 1,800 people. We played Davis CA's largest venue only 6 months after forming.

Radio Airplay: After Mixed Signals' performance at the Mondavi Center, DJ's from 107.9 THE END started talking. "I'm seeing it's only probably a short time before we hear more from those guys on the national level," said Morning Rave personality Stromboli. Since that buzz began, we have received midday airplay on THE END with our single, "October." We have also received spins of "October" and the title track to our latest album, "Don't Say No" on KRXQ 98 Rock.

Shows and Exposure: From Kleiber Hall in Davis, to the Boardwalk in Orangevale, from Raley Field in Sacramento, to the Powerhouse Pub in Folsom, Mixed Signals has been making the rounds and spreading their name, most recently playing live on Channel 31's "Good Evening Sacramento" TV broadcast and recorded on KXTV News 10 (ABC).

Soundtrack: After spreading their music around the California college scene, Mixed Signals' "Coming Home" was recently selected to appear on The Stanford Soundtrack Volume Three, a benefit compilation distributed to 3,500 music fans at an annual art and music festival.

Reviews: Here's what CABANDS.COM has to say about Mixed Signals: "Jake Sockolov's vocal qualities ranged from Rush's Geddy Lee to Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder with a splash of Black Sabbath and Queensryche for spice. Guitarist Wes Holliday had a unique blend of blues and rock in his technique, along with keyboardist Mike Jordan adding crispness to the band's over all sound. Drummer Andrew Smyth rounds out this 4-piece team of musicianship. Mixed Signals can best be described as a good old fashioned progressive rock band whose singer can "channel" several noted vocalist and yet strive for a sound of his own." The final verdict is that "These boys have some serious talent and are worth taking in live."
