MJ is a brother and sister rock/pop duo based out of New York. Mariya sings lead vocal, while John sings backup and serves as the music producer. Their combination of songwriting talent and amazing vocal ability creates an unusual team (a la The Carpenters) not seen in the modern music world.

MJ is releasing their first CD, an E.P. of five songs entitled "No History." Mariya's voice flows effortlessly through each track liking her to a young Suzanne Vega. She brings an upbeat, happy energy to the music similar to Michelle Branch's breakthrough album (The Spirit Room).

An alumnus of Berklee College of Music, John's work has already gained national exposure through both TV (Dawson's Creek) and print (Music Connection).

Mariya continues her education as a high school junior while studying voice, piano, and dance. John plays piano, sax, guitar, and works under NYC Producer/Songwriter Peter Zizzo.
