"MONROY" es un disco de Flamenco, con mucho flamenco. Sergio utiliza el piano para caminar por el flamenco, haciendo constantes guiños al Jazz. Sus composiciones son de una extrema sensibilidad. Sergio compone e interpreta para los sentidos, desdibuja las melodías para llevarlas al corazón. Sus ideas melódicas son como pequeñas pinceladas de un cuadro impresionista, sus acordes son abiertos, libres de formas, su compás es luz y sus manos arañas que corren vertiginosas, por las teclas. Sergio sintetiza en su instrumento, la guitarra, el cante, las palmas, y el baile flamenco, sin imitarlos, utiliza el piano como piano, con todos sus recursos melódicos, rítmicos y armónicos. A Sergio han querido acompañarlo en su primer trabajo excelentes músicos como Alfonso Gamaza o Bernardo Parrilla entre otros y figuras tan importantes como Javier Rubial o Miguel Poveda, que ven en este joven compositor una figura renovadora dentro de "Piano Flamenco".
