Arkoss started out in the underground music scene as a raver back in the late 80âs, experiencing first hand the âsummer of loveâ of 88 and joining in the outdoor raves of the early 90âs. Arkossâ passion for house music grew and dance music became a way of life for him. He began DJing, running his own club nights, dabbling in studio production and, of course, partying hard!

Fast forward to the present day and Arkoss is a force to be reckoned with in the cutting edge house scene. As well as being a DJ/remixer/producer, he runs the hugely popular event, Funkinyou. It is without a doubt one of Londonâs biggest monthly house nights, managing to hold a residency at Koko since it launched in 2003. One of the reasons for this club nightâs amazing success, is Arkossâ amazing sets and continuous energy, which gets the crowd rocking till the very end of the night. This residency has given Arkoss the opportunity to build a dedicated following, and to also test out his own productions to a crowd of more then 1,500 house music lovers.

Now on his own label, Funkinyou Records, Arkoss has teamed up with electrofunk supergroup, Muddyloop, on this stunning electro-house track - âI Could Do Things 2 Uâ. The Club Mix is a monster main room smasher, letting Joe Greenâs and Gudren Edenâs vocals lbounce over Arkossâ full-on electro house assault. The kick ass beat with its layers of percussion, the pumping bassline and synth-rave stabs will be raising the floor all over. And by combining it with a vocal as good as this, Arkoss has managed to create something accessible as well as credible. Uncompromising, yet still having the potential for crossover success.

On the flip side is the Dub Mix, and itâs not just the same track with the vocals emptied out! Instead Arkoss takes things to a completely different level giving him the opportunity to really flex his cutting edge muscle â stripping out the vocals to a bare minimum and letting rip with the type of bassline that should come with a warning sticker! Pulsating, body shaking, slightly detuned and absolutely infectious⦠it could do things to you!
