Andy Garrettâs music is Hard Rock, but it is also very different at the same time. While his influences can be heard in his music, this is not a CD you will listen to and say âHey, that sounds like what Iâm already listening to on the radioâ.
When Andy writes his songs, he designs them to be the way he wishes the radio would sound. And, given the chance, he guarantees that his CD will grow on you the more you listen to it.
Starting with the songs âMelody of Lifeâ and âWill We Make it in Timeâ, there are some great hooks to be found within the catchy riffs and hard driving beats. The band also gets to shine instrumentally on âJourney to Truthâ, followed by the hard driving rocker âFalse Religionâ. Garrett even manages to dabble in the odd meter of 6/8 time on âHappiness Forgotten / Rememberanceâ, and shifts gears again on the song âTry to Stand Stillâ with funky rock rhythms. âAfter All Iâve Doneâ gives you some straight forward rock, while âThe Offset Horizonâ takes you on a lyrical journey into the unknown. The most blazing of Andyâs seasoned guitar work can be heard on âThe Wailerâ, followed by what could be a brand new Punk Rock anthem in 'Beat the Bishop'.
