Mark Greene is the original lead singer for "The Moments", one of the most important Soul groups of all time and was the lead artist for the Stang record label. The first release, "Not On The Outside", ("Outside"), set the tone for much that followed. "Outside was a melodic, lushly orchestrated ballad distinguished by extraordinary falsetto vocalizing by Mark Greene. A massive hit, "Outside" sold well over a quarter of a million copies. Soon it was clear that The Moments were serious contenders for chart spots. "Outside" was inside the R & B hit circle by November 30, 1968, finishing at No. 13 and crossing over to the Pop chart, where it finished at NO. 57. Several others hit recordings throughout the 70's and 80's quickly followed "Outside".
