MONA J. RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM

To the excitement of many fans, Mona J. released her debut album Life.Lessons.Truth on November 16, 2004.

The buzz about Mona J. comes from her reflective and encouraging music. Her style: a soulful blend of urban contemporary gospel with a touch of neo-soul. Such is the vibe of the track "Don't Be Like Me." This lyrically intense song explores the consequences of bad life choices, but gives hope that everyone doesn't have to fall into the same trap. In "Change Tha World," a politically opinionated song, discusses what can be done to affect change in our communities.

"We can sing about God all day, but there has to be a practical application in daily life," Mona J. says. "I love what I do with my music. It's been amazing so far, but I can't forget where I came from." As the first single, it is rapidly increasing in local radio markets.

Mona J. remains involved in her local community. She is currently a substitute teacher and teaches music production classes to at-risk teens. She uses her personal life experiences to show others a path of hope. Mona J. also stays true to her roots and acknowledges the power of God in her life.
