A passionate and a deep appreciation of great vocalists and songwriters like Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, Ricki Lee Jones, Chrissie Hinds, Sade, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Donald Fagan, and Stevie Wonder have influenced Monica's writing and vocal style.
