This 4-track CD single from the upcoming full length CD brings together erotic spoken word poetry and house music to create a pulsing and rhythmic song that is a dance track AND a declaration of independence. Includes four versions of the single.

Petula Caesar, âTulaâ to her friends and fans, is an author, editor journalist, and spoken word poet. In her fiction writing and performing she specializes in erotic short stories and poetry, where her vivid imagination, her descriptive and creative wordplay and her passion for examining interpersonal relationships of all kinds is put to great use.

Tula was born in New Jersey and began writing as soon as she could hold a pen. As a young teenager the writing bug bit her hard but she attempted more practical pursuits with a career in public relations. But the desire to write never fully left her. She was published in Baltimoreâs daily paper The Sun in 2001, and moved into writing full steam ahead. She published her first poem in local poetry journal Poetâs Ink in 2003, and a few months later was performing her poetry before thousands at Artscape, Baltimoreâs major annual summertime arts festival, one of the largest of its kind on the East Coast. By the end of 2005 her first erotica collection Lipstick and Other Stories was published.

Tula is a regular contributing writer for Baltimoreâs City Paper, and has been published in Baltimore Magazine, Pulp Magazine, Clean Sheets, and Desdmona, and in Zaneâs erotica anthology Caramel Flava. Tula has performed erotic poetry at numerous venues and events, on WHUR-FM Radio in Washington, D.C., and has been a featured performer with The Punany Poets, a nationally touring erotic poetry performance troupe created by Jessica Holter that has been featured on HBOâs late night series Real Sex. Ms. Caesar is also a playwright, and her most recent live theater piece âA Direct Approachâ was performed in New York City by Firecracker Productions.

When sheâs not writing, you can find Tula spending time with her kids, hanging out with her friends in restaurants and poetry venues, listening to all kinds of music (especially house music), drinking plum wine, buying high heeled shoes and dresses, or eating Chinese food.
