Dead Airwaves is an alternative to all other music out there. There is no one genre to define the sound. A blend of hip hop/grunge/alternative/hard rock and even others. Based out of Charlottetown, PEI, the unique style of each member adds to the sound of the band. Guitarist and bass player, Behn Rocker, brings a heavy, funk-metal influenced sound. Drummer, JP Moszynski brings a high energy, punk rock fueled presence. Guitar, vocals, writer, producer and sometimes turtablist, Mike Amelia AKA DJ Ghost, brings a distinct laid back hip hop and alternative rock vibe, and vocalist/writer, Eric Broadbent sings and raps with punk and hip hop styles, influenced by funk. The band formed in March 2007, and have 2 releases to date. 2007's self titled EP, (which was nominated for a 2007 PEI music award) , and their first fulll length album, livin' on the internet, from 2008.
