Dominique Karan was born in Los Angeles, California. However at the tender age of 3 months old she moved to Calgary Alberta Canada with her mother and was granted dual citizenship. Growing up in Canada was both rewarding and painful. It was there in Canada at the age of five that Dominique was able to realize and express her love for Musiq as she spent summers performing on stage with her mother. However bitter sweet that she would return to the foster care of, Barb Charlton, for the remainder of each year. Although, the Charlton family embraced her as if she was their own, Dominique still longed for her parents. Eventually, as a teen, Dominique would return to Los Angeles to be with her father. It was there in Los Angeles where she would use her unique musical abilities to work with such artists as Jermaine Stewart, Al Green, Michael Bolton, Bone Thugs n Harmony Family, Poetic Hustlers and 2 Tru. Dominique currently can be found on tour singing back-up with British 80âs-90s Group Loose Ends.
