Why Not âDuet On The Roadâ
A clever play on words serves as the title for the latest CD release from singer songwriter Alan Harkrader that has a little something for âRoadiesâ of every ilk. His second offering in two years is a collection of both new and familiar tunes. This time around he has teamed up with fellow guitarist, singer and all around talented guy, Bob âWillardâ Henke. Bob, himself a veteran with the country rock jam and show band, âGoose Creek Symphonyâ, blends his talents with Alanâs to perform and produce this fresh collection of songs about the âRoadâ, something they both know a lot about thanks to their many years touring with various groups.
Inspired by Americaâs nostalgic love of the âMother Roadâ (Route 66), the boys have created a musical collection that car, motorcycle, and RV enthusiasts alike can enjoy while tooling down the highways and byways of our great nation, showing off of their classic vehicles in the process.
The three songs that are quickly recognizable on the album are âOn The Road Againâ, âGoinâ Up The Countryâ and âRoute 66â. Alan, however, has applied his own touch to this last classic by adding lyrics that turn you around once reaching the California Coast and return you Eastward, back to Chicagoâ¦. giving this classic piece of music song a delightful new twist.
Lets face it, Americans have an unmatched romance with the road and the machines that whisk them along it. In writing and selecting the music for this CD, Harkrader set out to give the motoring crowd something to add to their enjoyment and appreciation of the road and their machines, providing them a nostalgic and romantic escape to help them enjoy more fully their time on the roads they are traveling, even if they are only dreaming about doing so on their own couch..
Released exclusively on CDBaby.com, âDuet On The Roadâ will also be available on iTunes, Napster and a dozen other Internet download sites.
Be sure to visit www.duetontheroad.com for more fun details about this album. Alan and Bob are also available for interviews, by contacting Aurora Public Relations at Meister1551@AOL.com or 818-943-5729
