Charles Gray was most recently seen as an original cast member in the Broadway production of The Color Purple. Other performances include Teen Angel in the Broadway company of GREASE, Baritone Soloist for the world famous show RIVERDANCE, the roles of both Mufas and Scar in THE LION KING, Judah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and many other regional productions. He's also been seen on Law & Order CI and SVU as has done numerous voice overs.

Shortly before the Color Purple ended Charles started writing music again. "Its always been a passion of mine but I lost track of it and am feeling much more compelled to express myself through music these days. Also I want to put my energy into new music rather than just performing tried and true material. Its time I made my own offering and left something behind worth remembering."

This song was inspired by the energy and hope created by the Obama campaign. Its my hope that it will have a life long past the elections and be sung by everyone that has ever felt down trodden or in need of a lift to overcome some obstacle in their lives. " I'd love to hear it done by a large choir or even a rock band. Bono are you listening?"
