Andean flute virtouso Nayo Ulloa combines exotic traditional sounds with a lively world-beat sensibility in this new collection of South American classics and exuberant original compositions.

Nayo combines the best of folk and ethnic music from South America with a contemporary world fusion sound. Although his specialty is music from Peru and South America, Nayo's varied repertoire of both traditional and original songs encompasses all of Latin America. He also enjoys performing classical music using the traditional instruments of the Andes.

While the 'kena', or Andean flute, is Nayo's primary instrument, he also delights listeners with the 'sikus' (Andean panpipes), guitar, charango, and voice.

Nayo's opera-trained tenor range embraces everything from traditional Peruvian and Andean music to Latin American romantic standards and Italian art songs.

Nayo has been a dedicated performer of Peruvian and South American music since age 14. He first arrived in the United States in 1981 and toured actively throughout the 1990's. After several years of intense solo guitar training, Nayo returns to the musical scene with new compositions and with a strong desire to continue his journey of sharing the beautiful musical traditions of Peru and South America.
