While Wayne Burton hails from Alberta, Canada he is no stranger to the LDS and larger Christian music scene. His first two albums âCloser to Heavenâ and âThe Questâ feature 3 songs recognized internationally in the churchwide Music Submission and New Era contests. As a singer and songwriter he has also had a number of other guest artists join him on his albums including Jenny Jordan Frogley, Alex Boye, Katherine Nelson, Jericho Roadâs Justin Smith, and Jen Handy.
Wayne has performed for numerous crowds across the US and Canada. While his stage performances have included short solo concert as part of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, his favorite setting is sharing his songs in firesides and other reverent gatherings. His musical production âThe Questâ has been performed by individual church groups in various parts of North America and his songs have been performed as far away as New Zealand.
Wayneâs recent achievement was BECOMING, a new album with a combination of the style of sacred ballads he is known for as well as songs with a fresh contemporary sound.
