Description:

(ID 480971)
Ned Evett's fretless guitar-playing dropped jaws when he won the North American Rock Guitar Competition of 2003, and this new cd shows off his unique fretless skills as an effortless element of his polished songwriting.

11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Progressive Rock, ROCK: Modern Rock

Details:
Ned's fretless playing is beyond fretless - he wanted a piece of glass where the fretboard is - so that's what he made. Now Fernandez Guitars endorses Ned and makes his electric guitars. As a very accomplished player, Ned had to teach himself to control intonation like a cello player, but then was free to explore the new sonic terrain you'll hear on this cd. Check out the title track, "iStole", the story of a disgruntled programmer, and hear the tasty playing on a variety of glass necked instruments including a fretless dobro.
Joe Satriani had Ned open for him in tours in the U.S., Europe, and Japan.
A collaboration with Franck Vigroux - "Evett / Vigroux" - has gotten rave reviews and radio play in over 100 radio stations around the U.S. (Feb 2004). This is the latest effort with his four piece band of guitar, keyboard , bass, and drums.
