Here's the story;
Nelson started playing guitar when Elvis died.....it's that simple. He was twelve years old and totally dedicated to the music. Four years later, he managed to get his first house gig at a local club in his hometown.
In 1984, Nelson formed his first band named "TUMBLWEED", which performed regularly throughout Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. In 1986, Nelson hired a fourth band member who played keyboards/synth, and took the group on the road for three years! The band broke up in 1989, and Nelson went on his own as a single act. In 1995, he won the Y105 Talent Search, and recorded his first penned song named "It's Just Amazing". Nelson then started making local cable television appearances, and soon became well know for his cowboy hat, boots, buckle, and of course his voice, guitar picking and his smile!
Nelson is currently performing at festivals and fairs with his new band from which the members are CCMA Award winning musicians in his area, and working on taking the next step,....a record deal! Enjoy!
