Nelson Said is a Pop/Rock Singer/Songwriter who has released two independent full length recordings to date. Nelson's second CD entitled "The Sailor" focuses on relationships with one's career decisions and love interests and the balance that we all strive for in life. The story also focuses on tough decisions that one must make to satisfy a life's desires. Nelson recently received recognition from "Lord Litter" (www.lordlitter.de) a highly respected underground music legend from Germany who has a popular internet radio show. In describing 'The Sailor' CD he said, "One of the best true pop productions I received in a very long time...airplay guaranteed". Nelson also recently placed as a finalist in the May 2004 edition of the VH1 Song of the year contest with his song "In A Little More Time", to be included on his third CD currently in production.

Nelson's songs are rich lyrically and vocally and translate well to the live stage. He was the lead vocalist in original and cover bands spanning the last thirteen years and has performed as a solo artist with his "Sinatra and Swing" show for private parties in the Bay Area. Writing seriously since 1997, Nelson's lyrics come from life experiences and observations of human interaction and the human spirit. His major influences are The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Phil Collins, Chris Isaak and the Bee Gees. Inspirational reality based lyrics with appealing melodies and musical hooks combined with a commercially strong structure appeal to him most.

Nelson's music appeals mostly to the adult contemporary pop/rock crowd, although his songs strike a chord with music lovers of all ages. His songwriting and production began with an idea to combine the aforementioned genres of music while staying true to his own character, thereby creating an original style that keeps pace with the sounds of today. Nelson has been writing songs seriously for the last seven years and is currently CEO of the music company "Songfellowz" based out of San Jose, California.
