Mihai Puscoiu (born on 24 April 1986) comes from a musically-gifted Romanian family.

Mihaiâs unique talent and abilities were discovered at an early age by his father, Costel Puscoiu (composer, panflute teacher and musician). When Mihai was only 3 years old, his father decided to start teaching him. At the age of 9, Mihai was admitted to the junior class of the Rotterdam Conservatorium. He then studied violin at the HAVO for Music and Dance in Rotterdam. He is currently studying Music Production at the Rotterdam Conservatorium and is studying the panflute on his own.

He has given numerous concerts in The Netherlands and other countries around the world, has won a number of prizes at music competitions and has performed on television many times. He has recorded 6 panflute CDs so far: Panflute Maestrino., Instrumental Hymns, Light to the Star, Impressions, Autumn Songs and Mihai. Mihaiâs wide repertoire consists of adaptations of popular classical works, pop music, jazz, hiphop, popular songs, dance, house, compositions, Romanian and South-American folk songs, etc.

Mihai is the only panflutist in the world preoccupied with innovating the panflute. He performs in clubs and festivals because he is producing a lot of electronic music too. The mix of a traditional instrument with modern sounds such as dance or other styles is catching on. By bringing together various music genres an amazing mixture of styles is obtained, which is an innovation to the world of panflute.

Along with production and modern music, Mihai is also into electronics and panflute. He has invented a midi panflute which can sound like other instruments, such as drums, guitar and even piano. You will soon hear more about this innovative product and a new world will open to this yet unknown instrument.

The majority of panflute specialists consider Mihai one of the most talented and skilled young panflutists. He has a refined technique, a fantastic sound and an emotional interpretation. During his performances, he charms the audience with his magical sound.
