A native of St. Louis Missouri, Steve absorbed the blues, jazz, country and rock and roll playing on the radio stations and in the local clubs and bars. The sounds of the blues show up in many of Steveâs compositions, although purists should beware: Steve is not strictly a blues player, nor is this a blues album. But the blues accent shows through, proud and strong, in many of Steveâs songs, especially with the slide guitar showcased in many of those songs.

A move to Wellfleet Massachusetts in 1992 signaled a punctuation mark in Steveâs compositions and playing career. While Cape Cod was not exactly blues central, it still had a thriving music scene and many players and audiences who appreciated soulful vocals and blues-based material.

Sixteen years later, Steve is still playing and writing, with two albums to his credit and more to come.
