I've taken the past 2 years of my life and placed it in these songs. All the heartache, all the pain, all the love, all the successes, all the failures- everything I've learnt is in this CD. I hope you not only enjoy it, but also learn from it.

Faithful
I wrote this song for someone special. The individual was in a relationship that had been filled with a lot of hurt and pain. I wanted so much to say "I love you, we could leave this place together," but I couldn't, it wouldn't have been right... it wasn't our time. I choose instead to write what I was feeling.

Sorry (but I can't take you back)
I think you all know this story.

Wade in the Water
I grew up in Guyana and everyday I walked along the ocean on my way home from school. I can still remember the feeling of the wind against my face and arms, the smell that saturated the air, and the sound of the waves lapping against shore. It is one of the fondest memories I have of growing up and I tried to capture it in this song- the beauty and the danger of the ocean.

Me & U
I wrote this song while remembering the simple things I love about love- like looking into another's eyes and seeing love settled there, or feeling the palm of another in mine. I was writing about such a time- a time when love could last forever. "Me and you, we'll make it through... Anything." L4L

Come Back
A song about mistakes I had made and how much I wanted forgiveness.

More Love
I think we can all agree that we need more love in this world.

Waiting for You
I wrote this piece when I finally realized how content I was just being me. All my life I had wasted enormous amounts of time and energy pretending-pleasing others and now the realization struck me that I didn't have to do that. I could trust my own voice; I could follow my own path and just enjoy being the human being I am. So this song is dedicated to me, I always imagine looking into a mirror and telling the individual there "I've been waiting for you- you are beautiful and I truly admire and love you."

The lullaby
This song calms me and reminds me that even though this life can be crazy and hurtful and disappointing, there is always a place of solitude deep within all of us.
