Iâve been a musician all my life in one aspect or another but Iâve only been a performing musician for 4 years. When I was 4 or 5, I began playing the piano, took classical voice lessons throughout my youth and teenage years and took guitar lessons at the age of 14. The piano lessons lasted throughout middle school but playing the guitar only lasted a short while. That is, until I again decided to pick up that somewhat familiar instrument just 3 years ago in order to accompany my singing. The song-writing is fairly new as well. I wrote some songs for piano/voice when I was a teenager, but took a very long break from that while I was in college and didnât start that up again until a year and a half ago. âShine Down On Meâ is my Debut CD and Iâm very proud of it! The title track, âShine Down On Meâ was the first song I wrote for guitar/voice so I saw it very fitting for it to be the first track on this album. The songs on this album are excerpts taken from my life and pulled from various trials and tribulations. The song, âRoad Of Discoveryâ is about my struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. I was diagnosed with MS in January, 1996. Like everyone else, I have my good and bad days and often use songwriting as an outlet for my pain and happiness. I sure hope you enjoy this CD and I am looking forward to the day I release the next one!!
