Details:
The idea came to me while i was listening to some of today's music.I thought that romance should be brought back into the art form that's all about romance and love. Romantic music brings people together. In writing "HOW I LOVE YOU",I combined the romantic Italian language with the most romantic words I could find in English and tried to keep the format the same.A hard thing to do when translating from English to Italian.The Italian words are very close to the english lyrics.In,"I WON'T LET GO OF MY DREAMS", and "IN THE TWILIGHT OF MY LIFE" I sing about my life to date. Though the years are flying by, the songs reflects my desire to continue to make romantic music and how we begin to search for meaning."TI VOGLIO BENE ASSAI", means" I LOVE YOU SO MUCH" These words were spoken to me by my wife Domenica and they express the passion we feel for each other and I sing of our romance.Using a theme form my talented niece Daniela,I wrote a melody and lyrics and combined with a groove from my producer/arranger, we came up with "LOVE IS A FEELING". "OUR SECRET WALTZ OF LOVE" went through many changes.The name comes from the first dance I had with my wife.It was a waltz that we didn't know the name of it.I sing of my memories of that first dance with the one I love. My classical background and training took me on an interesting path when I wrote "BE MINE FOR EVER". It's a big production song with both Italian and English lyrics arranged to show my vocal range. My late friend the wonderful poet Nicholas Tassinello,sent me a poem with a religious theme.Sitting at the piano, in less than ten minutes I wrote, "TURN TO HIM". Because of my experience in Seminary School as a teenager in Sicily,and being familiar with Christian music,this song touched me in a very special way. I went on to write "CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE" and included it in this CD. To all my fans and friends- "BUONA FORTUNA AND GOD BLESS YOU". Nino.
