Hey everyone,
My name is Sheldon Botler. I was born and bread in the Central District of Seattle. Being immersed in jazz, African music, hip hop, rhythm and blues, and rock. I love music. And most importantly I love the human voice. In combination with technology I can make it sound as if there was an entire choir behind me, I could synthesize my voice to sound like a female, the range and flexibility of textures are fun to play with, and the messages that can be conveyed both make singing important to me. My name is Sheldon Botler. I am a local to Seattle, Washington. Since birth, music has been associated with social movements, family, friends, fun, creativity, expression, personal reflection, and sharing. I share my art with you not to make money. My vision is to create and encourage other's to critically create as well. Songs, like "Recently" are odes to the creative process, an invention of the soul. I love popular music, but my lyrics and music are laden the my unique twists. I hope that you enjoy. For those of you wondering if I would ever take money. The answer is "yes". But I could not allow myself to give up my art in the process. I would only work with competent, open minded producers. I would feel sick to my stomach to produce music that deviated from my reality or was some dressed up amalgamation of popular ideals, sprinkled with reality.
