Early in 2008, discovering that their usual rhythm section was unavailable, Christine Bougie and Dafydd Hughes booked a series of duo shows at Torontoâs Tranzac Club. To their delight, every Monday the room went silent (in a good way) and allowed them to play quietly. Enjoying what they heard, they managed to convince Cassandra to let them keep the gig until, in her words, âyou hate it.â So far, they still like it.
This album is the result of their collaboration.
