Win Thompkins was born and raised in South Florida. He is the third of ten children and was reared in a happy home filled with laughter, music and songs. During his Christian upbringing, it was natural for Win and his siblings to sing in the church choir. As the young men grew into talented teenagers, Win and his brothers began to travel and sing gospel music locally and around the country.

At the tender age of fourteen, Win had already recorded his first gospel record which was released as a single on Cross and Crown Records. His first album was released on Holt Sullivan Nashville's label at the age of sixteen.This was followed by seven other albums, some featuring additional artists through the years.

At this juncture, Win not only composed the songs but added production to his list of artistic skills.

His 26 song CD titled FOOT STOMPIN(vol. 1 )is indeed a masterpiece! Many say that the project pulls on the strings of the heart and has legs and will be around for a very,very long time.
