Details:
Boasting an obvious variety of musical and social influences, nothingnew delivers driven punk rock that has captivated audiences at their live shows in southern California. Formed in the summer of 1999 by brothers jack and randy p, the band started hammering away, writing and releasing the angst from within. With ryan on rhythm guitar and alternating with jack on vocals, the band experimented with a variety of sounds that come through on their first independent release, "poor, nasty, brutish and short." But lacking some cohesion, the group decided to look for a new drummer and found it in dennis k, a pepperdine student with a solid punk background (even though that doesn't sound possible).

Bassist Randy left and nothingnew picked up long-time friend and fill-in, pete i. Finally feeling complete, the band worked out some kinks and began working on it's second release, "not conquered, though overcome" due in august of 2002. Nothingnew continues to wow audiences in it's home, Los Angeles' south bay. The intensity of the live performance and obvious energy has created a lasting fan base. Nothingnew intends to capitalize on their popularity to send their message and do what they do best -- releasing their burdens from within via their driven punk rock sound.
