onadIme is a band destined for greatness. Its truly original sound is an amalgam of hard- rock and jazz with a careful balance between mathematical rhythms, melody and thematic movement. Each song is crafted with two audiences in mind: the audiophile praying for something different but still accessible and the rock and roll fan looking for a heavy, pounding jam. Inspired by bands such as Tool, Stone Temple Pilots and Rush, onadIme captures a unique but familiar sound, pays tribute to the bands that have come before it and looks to build a new road for future bands to follow.
Though it focuses on creating high art for hard rock, onadIme isn't flashy or pretentious. The live show is focused on creating an intense musical explosion full of energy, quick turns and poetry. You won't see this band dolled up in chains and make-up, you won't see pyrotechnics or choreography and you won't see a stage full of hapless chumps. You will, however, see a band that rivals the best of the best in terms of talent and execution.
Over the past year and a half, onadIme has constantly been playing shows, writing new music and building its fan-base. The band has been a finalist in every battle of the bands it has ever played, and every venue (The Hard Rock Café, Oasis 160, the Elbo Room, Penny Road Pub, The Lyon's Den, Underground Lounge and The Note ...just to name a few) has asked to have them back.
In the summer of 2003, onadIme produced its first LP "Pray for Wings" in the much-touted Studio Chicago. The musically and lyrically exceptional tracks on the album show a range of styles from its signature hard rock-jazz to southern math rock, and onadIme's newest (as yet unrecorded) material verges on the brilliant.
