Details:
Hi its Sam. I play guitar for Opposite Day. Thanks for visiting our page! I hope you're having a good day.

Opposite Day plays educational art-rock for animals.

here's what other people have said:

From The Austin Chronicle, a review of the album:

"If there's one thing Austin needs right now, it's more bands with songs about 5-year-old superspies, cannibalistic bagels, and monkeys throwing their own feces. This is not sarcasm... Opposite Day's freewheeling, absurdist debut is a welcome batch of high-spirited non sequiturs. Musically, the local threepiece plots a course marked by schizophonic guitars, limber drumming, and loads of, as Anthony Kiedis once so eloquently put it, 'funky-ass Flea bass.' While they obviously owe a debt to earlier rock oddballs like Frank Zappa and They Might Be Giants, Opposite Day is still very much a unique specimen, and Economics contains enough hairpin turns to frustrate the most ice-veined Formula One driver..."

From the Red River Rank and Review, a review of the live show:

"Imagine Primus, They Might Be Giants and Victims Family all rolled into one and you'll have a pretty decent idea of Opposite Day's sound. Over the last 2 years of their existence, this band has grown tighter (if that's even possible) and more entertaining. This show seemed the culmination of their ability to simultaneously blow other bands out of the water with sheer dexterity and cater to the interests of non-musicians in the audience. That's not an easy feat.
"Phenomenal musicianship, stop-on-a-dime accuracy, weird time signatures galore and silly lyrics...
"For those of you who like prog-rock, math rock or local bands like Pong, Brown Whornet and Golden Arm Trio - I implore you to give Opposite Day a listen. They may not use as much distortion or have as much facial hair as Gorch Fock, but their musicianship, arrangements and hilarious lyrics are just as impressive..."

Wow. You read all that? Thanks. If you're still curious, visit our website http://www.oppositeday.com or send us an e-mail at opposite_day@yahoo.com we'd love to hear from you.
