Opposite Day's freewheeling, absurdist debut is a welcome batch of high-spirited non sequiturs. Musically, the local threepiece plots a course marked by schizophonic guitars, limber drumming, and loads of, as Anthony Kiedis once so eloquently put it, 'funky-ass Flea bass.'
