The best way to describe Outcry is to say that they are like the big guy in the mosh pit who knocks you on your ass, and then turns around to pick you back up.

ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Hard Rock

Details:
Outcry is a hard working aggressive band fighting for every inch. They play original hard rock music, and have a decent mix of heavy and mellow songs. Their goal is to write modern music that appeals to audiences of all ages.
Outcry was formed in September 2003 by guitarists, Al Taylor, Roby Belyea, and drummer, Cris Green. Al and Cris had previously devastated the music scene together for about four years in an explosive band called Death In General (D.I.G.). They had shared the stage with dozens of national acts including The Misfits, Six Feet Under, Lamb of God, Mushroomhead, and God Forbid. Eventually Al and Cris felt that a change was needed musically and departed from D.I.G. to seek out other avenues that would enable them to show their diversity. They started playing with Roby Belyea, and their ideas clicked from the beginning. They immediately started looking for a front man who could define the sound they were so desperately searching for, and could possibly lead their band to greatness. Only one name came to mind... Jason Pryor. Jason was singing for a local band called Artificial Sun, who conveniently enough had just split up. They had heard him sing a few times and knew he was the one. Like a machine they started writing song after song, and found themselves progressing musically.
They had found a style that was not only intense, but pulled in all of their influences and ideas creating a sound that was a perfect clash of melody and chaos. Something they knew would etch itself into the minds of their fans. Their first show was on November 1st, opening up for 7 Mary 3 at Harpos Concert Theater in Detroit, MI. Paul Zimmer, the bassist from D.I.G. filled in on bass ensuring a flawless performance. They had an amazing crowd response and immediately started booking more and more shows. Soon after they found the final piece of the puzzle when they picked up a bassist, Ryan Verna.
Ryan was originally a guitarist untill he was asked to try out for the bands as their bassist, he switched instruments knowing this could be something big. They now had the ideal line-up, and immediately headed for the studio to record their first full- length release "Awaken". Since then they have supported many national bands such as... Josh Todd of Buckcherry, Motograter, W.A.S.P., Slitheryn, Level-C, Chimaira, Machine Head, Trivium, and 3 Inches of Blood.
To this day Outcry continues their struggle to someday be able to know that their music will have reached the hearts and minds of the people of America and beyond. Whatever the Outcome, Outcry will carry on with nothing but enthusiasm and an immeasurable love of music.
