OUTLIER reached critical acclaim in Columbus Ohio the so called "test market capital of the United States." In a town where 99 of the bands are cover bands...OUTLIER wrote and recorded their own tunes and had live crowds crying out the titles of their favorite songs off this their premiere release and self titled CD. Club owners were so impressed they quickly agreed to put the CD on their Jukeboxes which lent even more fuel to the OUTLIER fire! The group became so popular they were quickly torn between playing live shows and doing studio work. For two years they split the difference and thus their music reflects the excitement of a live performance and the polish of studio work. Led by guitar star Matt "the cat on the strat" Mollica, and Mike Tonn from Detroit Michigan on vocals (and Les Paul guitar) they formed a unique and hard driving sound that has been described as a cross between Creed, Nickelback and Kenny Wayne Shepherd!
