Details:
This young, talented, and energetic group out of Springfield, Massachusetts is hungry and eager to take it to the next level.
Own D' vice (ODV) started in the spring of '99, as a five piece singing/dancing pop group. At the time the group was strongly influenced by 'N sync, Backstreet Boys, and other groups of that period. Even though they were often compared, there are many things that set them apart. As their name implies, they write, record and produce all of their own songs and so far their unique sound has received a tremendous response. With a respect for various styles and genres of music, Own D' vice tries to anticipate the musical tastes of the future through their melodies and lyrics. They spent many hours in the studio and at rehearsals perfecting there own unique style. In 2001, the group performed and toured with Radio Disney all over New England. They quickly realized they had a big following and it became clear to the members of ODV, that this was their calling.
As the group matured so did their music and style. They slowly shifted from being a pop group to becoming a more r&b/soul oriented singing group with a strong hip-hop influence. They continue recording new songs and have updated/remixed some of their older material. The guys are constantly working on their show, which includes both cover songs and originals, ballads and dance tunes. Own D' vice is most comfortable when they're in front of a crowd and it absolutely shows in their interaction with an audience. The group strives to entertain until the very last minute so that folks leave wanting more. At the same time, you wouldn't be surprised to see the guys meet and greet with their fans after a show, no matter how many.

Own D' vice's first album is entitled "Feel What I'm Feelin'." Take a good listen to the tracks and you surely won't be disappointed. The group is currently working on songs for their second album. Oh, the name, "Own D' vice," it simply means taking control of your own destiny, which is exactly what these talented young men plan to do.
