Details:
Do you like songs about flea marketeers, boxers, soldiers, baseball players? How about songs about driving around at night or maybe hitting a sleazy bar on a Friday Night? If you do you will like the songs of Pete Chambers. Pete was born in Trenton New Jersey where his father owned a bar and restuarant on the corner of State and Montgomery. From a young boy Pete met his share of characters...He knew the police officers that used to frequent the restuarant as well as the gamblers who played the pinball machine after hours. He knew the gypsies that rented the room upstairs as well as drifters that washed dishes one week and would be gone the next. There were old athelets that use to come in such as the one time light weight champion of the world, who was broke, but always a gentleman and still a good tipper. Steve Garvey, a long time member of the "Buzzcocks" from Manchester England spotted Pete as "The Real Deal" He saw in him a true piece of Americana and felt he had to record him.... Go with Pete to "State and Montgomery" and have a cup of coffee and sit back and dream .
