The band's latest album, The Ambition Bird or notes from the Tin Heart Hotel, juxtaposes Michiko's breathtaking vocal narratives with a simple guitarquestra, sometimes gracefully, sometimes painfully birthing a result that sounds like Ann Sexton complaining through wax paper. With standout tracks like "Paper Boats," dominating home stereos though out the valley and greater Los Angeles area, Michiko is an essential addition to any music or Lit lover's library.
