Author of 'The Tails of Tara and Sheena' and 'The Pony Man'. A graduate
of Rhode Island College, Sandy has enjoyed a variety of careers: dance
instructor, real estate agent, respiratory therapist, and full time wife. A
versatile musician, she plays the organ, accordion, and harmonica. "I've been
a performer all my life, and of all the accolades I've garnered throughout the
years, being chosen 'most talented' by my high school class is the award I
cherish the most. Drawing inspiration from the arts, and with a passion for
the simpler pleasures, my zest for life is a deep reflection of the joys that
embrace a family."

"The best part of life is all the unexpected surprises. My husband Jerry
received a sympathy card form our dentist saying how sad he was to hear of my
passing. An unusual case of similar names became an unusual wake up call. In
the back of my mind was a promise that someday I would reestablish my passion
for writing, and in the next fourteen months I wrote four manuscripts, two of
which were published. At the funeral of my dear friend, Lena, the organist
forgot his appointment and with the help of the attendants, they rushed to the
rectory for the key, unlocked the upstairs balcony, and I played for her
services. I thank God for the strength he gives me, and I pray that all of
his assignments don't occur at the spirit of the moment."

came into our garage and had five kittens in my husband's tool box-we kept all

In just two and a half years, Sandy has written over 300 poems, including
a collection of poems for various occasions. From tragic events such as the
Station Night Club Fire to personalized poems, critics are amazed at her
uncanny ability to characterize people she never met. She admits, "I never
get tired of hearing people say, "You touched my heart." I reply quite
simply, "That's the magic of my writing."
