For over a decade, Peter Dircks has been writing and playing smooth jazz where he weaves and layers piano, guitar and sax melodies with rhythmic grooves and various instrumentation creating his own unique sound of both energizing and relaxing music.

In 2001, after receiving encouragement from high-profile jazz and rock studio musicians, he set out to record his first studio album, "The Beginning", which was recorded during 2003 and released Jan. 1 2004.

"The Beginning" features 12 songs and nearly one-hour of music. Further, the eclectic mix of tunes makes this compilation a wonderful addition to your music collection for entertaining, relaxing or both.
