Shaqua is a talented musician, singer song writer. His unique voice and 'signature' delivery of songs, takes you on a journey to places which feel familiar and totally new at the same time. Shaqua's music can be defined as Modern Rock, but is rooted deep in the classical rock originating from the US and UK since the 70's.
Shaqua writes, composes and sings all his materials.

Shaqua was born in Israel and is an Australian citizen for the past 12 years. At the age of 22 Shaqua left his home land and traveled the world. He arrived at Australia an immediately fell in love with the far away continent. 4 years later he became a citizen. Ever since, this exotic continent has captured his mind and soul, its wild nature deeply influencing his music.

Shaqua is a son to a famous Folk singer and has been around music and recording studios virtually since birth. Considered a child prodigy, with a voice that was almost unlimited, since he was 12 years old Shaqua performed regularly in front of thousands, in major venues around his home country. At the age of 17, Shaqua tried to write songs in English. He felt his English was not good enough and decided to give up music all together. It will take Shaqua 12 years, 7 of them in an English speaking land, a painful break- up with a lover, before music will come back to his life. Now he had experienced life and had important insight to convey to his listeners and English was his 2nd mother tongue.

Shaqua starts writing and composing vigorously, while performing in small venues around Sydney. He visits his home land and performs there as well. He travels to France and performs there with his father at the 'Cite de la Music' in Paris. At the same time he puts out a 5 song mini album called '1st taste' and gets his first radio airplay, by one of the most prominent DJ's on radio.

At the beginning of 2008 Shaqua puts out his first LP called 'Time has Come'.
He performs at underground rock venues and starts rallying a substantial group of followers which comes to every show. These days Shaqua is rehearsing for a big show for New Year 2009, promoting his album internationally and searching for a suitable record label to sign up with.

In an industry where 'instant pop' controls the airways, Shaqua's music is a fresh breeze of originality. His talent is unique and profound, his voice is enchanting and Shaqua as an artist, is an interesting promise in the international music scene.
