Starlet Knight was born on Christmas Day and was raised with a whole lot of big band and church music. She turned out too churchy for jazz and too jazzy for church, but was born too late to get on the Lawrence Welk show. Neverthless, this church musician has reset a lot of really old Christmas Carols (5th through 18th century) as jazz and other popular American form pieces. She and collaborator, pianist Anthony Dowd, also recorded four originals: I Wanna Be Mrs. Claus, Sing Me To Sleep, Cowboy Christmas, and I Still Remember.

Starlet Knight and The Imaginary Band all live in Richmond, Virginia, and are gigging musicians with various interests. The Imaginary Band is Anthony Dowd, piano; Allen Parker, guitar; Matt Hall, bass; and Lance Koehler, percussion ... and sound engineer.
