Piecemeal: The Band

Neel Farrar and Noel Leonard. Obviously there were other people involved in putting together an album and their contributions range from making suggestions, providing inspiration, improving on the original works and in some cases totally re-writing songs as well as performing them.

Rick Carter, previously of Telluride and at present guitarist/singer of Rolling in the Hay joined for two tunes.

The effort truly would have been sunk had it not also been for the exceptional talents, knowledge and experience of another phenomenal guitarist by the name of David Kilmer; formerly a Sugar La-La in the '80s and now with The Amazing Live Sea Monkeys.
Rick Lovelady, also of the Sea Monkeys came in and helped keep time on several songs.

Steve Vadorsky wished he's had more than one take - not that kind of project.

Leanna Hurst on bass and Rick Webster on drums. Rick was the drummer for the band in which Noel played prior to the formation of Piecemeal and as such was intimately familiar with a lot of the music. He is now the drummer for the Fossils. Leanna came into the same band with Noel shortly before it's demise and is also in the Fossils as their bass player.

Piecemeal: Founding Members

Neel Farrar is a 40 year-old Birmingham resident who has for the past 25 plus years been writing down bits and pieces of observations, fictional musings and poetry which are typically in no particular order or style. Various sources of inspiration have included family, friends, enemies, people on the street and the occasional sedative-hypnotic type substance. The conversion to a music making process was given a substantial push by the arrival of his first child, Joshua and furthered along by the subsequent arrival of little sister Hannah. Having grown up in a home frequently filled with the sounds of everything from classical to Simon and Garfunkel and Kris Kristoferson and most of the stuff that happened in between it was almost mandatory that there be early exposure to a wide range of music, including that in which the children's father participates. Thus playing guitar and singing in a casual setting with best friend Noel evolved into a more concentrated effort than just entertaining the children. Neel has been greatly aided by the love and support of his wife Jayna.
Favorite guitarist: Tie- Jimmy Page, David Gilmour

Noel Leonard : Birmingham boy who has been writing since he lost his battle with puberty. Most of his earlier efforts were in the form of poetry and many of those products have since been tried out as lyrics.
