Details:
Chris Cigolea
Born into a musical Romanian family, Cigolea played violin, clarinet and trumpet, and won the Romanian Youth National Competition as a trumpeter three times. He studied at the National University of Music Bucharest and played with numerous radio and TV orchestras and ensembles. In Canada he attended Wilfrid Laurier University, studying with Guy Few. He received his Master of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto, where he studied with Barton Woomert, and is currently working on his DMA with Jeff Reynolds. Presently, he enjoys performing and touring as a soloist; he is Principal trumpet of the Guelph Symphony Orchestra, Trumpet Instructor at University of Guelph and Music Director at Fern Hill School Oakville.

Simon Irving
Simon Irving was born and educated in England and moved to Canada in 1967. He has performed extensively as an organist and directed many choral and orchestral performances with the Guelph Symphony Orchestra, which he founded in 2001. He holds a Fellowship diploma of the RCCO, and was the Collegeâs National President (1998-200). He was honored with a Distinguished Service Award from the College in 2004. Having served for 16 years as Director of Music at Church of Our Lady in Guelph, he is presently Director of Music at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Hamilton.
