Featuring members of Avenged Sevenfold and Ballistico, this is some manic metal. Acrobatic drums guitar and vocals, with lyrics describing vampires and morbidly twisted plots.
6 MP3 Songs
METAL: Gothic Metal, METAL: Progressive Metal
Details:
THE LEGENDARY ALBUM, "UNFORTUNATE SNORT."
Members:
Vocals - Rat Head ("The Reverend" of Avenged Sevenfold)
Guitar - Synyster Gates (of Avenged Sevenfold)
Bass - El Diablo ("Buck Silverspur" of Ballistico)
Drums - Super Loop (D Rock of Ballistico)
Produced By Ron Eglit
Recorded at Hindu Arts Studios-Huntington Beach, CA
Pinkly Smooth was formed in the summer of 2001, in Huntington Beach, CA and in 2002, they recorded the legendary metal album, "Unfortunate Snort," on Bucktan records.
While the lead guitarist and drummer of AVENGED SEVENFOLD, (Synyster Gates & The Reverend), and the lead singer and drummer of BALLISTICO (Buck Silverspur & D-Rock), are on break from touring with their bands, rather than lounging by a hotel pool with a bottle of Old Grand Dad Whiskey, they transform into the mentally deranged... PINKLY SMOOTH!
There are many hints that PS's inspiration springs from bands like; Queen, (with their opera-atic vocal harmonies), Meshuggah, (with counter time drumming and guitar riffs), and Danny Elfman, (with Klezmer-like Piano parts from Pee Wee's big adventure).
If you are seriously into heavy metal, and are open to an artistically progressive approach to heavy metal, with vocals that that differ from the voices that exist in metal today, then you should get "Unfortunate Snort," and proceed to bang you head and bounce off the walls!
