Details:
"Making Him Known" was the collective musical effort of many talented musicians and personal friends. It consisted of members of the worship team of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Bowie, Maryland.
The purpose of this CD project was first to share with others the amazing grace of Jesus, His love for the world, and His continual mercy in making us more like Him.
Secondly, it was to use our God-given talents and abilites to express what God has done in our lives.
Thirdly, it was to encourage and raise support for missionaries around the world...these men and women are the heroes of the faith!
Therefore, all proceeds of this CD will go to "Make Him Known" throughout China!
Bethany Pugner is the Minister of Music of Ocean City Worship Center in Maryland. She is a talented musician who displays a genuine heart for worship and a wonderful gift in encouraging others to lift up the name of Jesus. Bethany's music and personal story is an inspiration of God's grace and His willingness to use each of us through all circumstances! Bethany is recognized not only as a worship leader but also as a singer/song writer. Her first CD, "Making Him Known" was released Christmas 2004.
A native of Pittsburgh, Bethany holds degrees in music education from Bowie State University and church music from Valley Forge Christian College.
Bethany, along with her husband, Bryan, and two year old daughter, Brooklynn, reside together in Ocean Pines, Maryland.
James Pugner started writing music in 1995 during his first year of college. The songs he would write were never typical, and most of the time didn't mean much.
The first few songs he wrote had the titles of "Mashed Potatoes", "Yellow Jacket", and "Peanuts".
In 1999 while living in China, God started giving him words to write that would mean a lot more. As he taught himself to play the guitar in his spare time he wrote his first worship song "To Know Him".
From that first song many others have followed and can be heard in our local churches and on the CD "Making Him Known". James continues to write music and is looking forward to the opportunity of sharing his songs as God continues to open doors.
James currently lives in Baltimore with his wife Beth. James is also involved in music ministry with the Wednesday Night Worship team at his home church, Cornerstone, in Bowie, Maryland.
CryOut Music was created in 2001 to share our music and what Jesus has done in our lives with others. It is through the support and prayers of many that this dream has ever taken its smallest steps.
Starting almost ten years ago, Cryout music consisted of a bunch of young people crashing into a small church to sing silly impromptu songs and play what many would never even consider music.
It was out of these encounters that a journey of writing, leading, and recording of love songs to Jesus began.
Although we don't consider our music the most professional or complete, we do believe that what Christ has done in our lives in worth telling. The talents and abilities that He has given us compels us to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth with all that is within us.
It is for Him that we Cry Out in Praise!
