Formed in September of 2003, Public Property started out as a reggae project. Frontman David Bess, born and raised in Hawaii, joined forces with bass player Adam Grosso and drummer Nick Narigon to play the music that inspired him while growing up in the islands. Since its inception, the band has grown from a 3-man trio to an 8-member group, complete with 3 female vocalists, percussion, auxiliary guitar, and keys.

While the band's lineup continues to change and evolve (Patrick Jensen is now on drums), the music stays true to its initial vision, laying rich harmonies and strong lyrics over a tight and talented rhythm section. The groove and lyricism take lead, spreading a message of non-conformism and love in an increasingly violent world. Mixing its main inspiration, reggae, with hip hop and ska, Public Property never fails to chant down Bush's Babylon while making the dance floor shake. Being pissed off has never been so much fun.
