Quartus brings together a unique blend of rock, unlike anything else in the region. Hard to classify musically, their sound oozes of rock, jazz, blues and funk. Melting great lyrics over tasty grooves, it's easy to see why the band has made big waves in such little time.

Forming in January 2003 releasing their debut album in May 2003, followed by their second album in 2004, the band has gained excellent support and has built a large, dedicated following to date. They are quickly obtaining airplay on commercial radio stations and are favorites on area college stations.

They recently landed the support of Castle Records in Nashville TN, and publisher Alley Roads Music for their 2004 summer release of their sophomore self-titled album. This widely distributed album is on sale at area music stores like Sam Goody and CD Warehouse as well as online at their website www.quartusonline.com. The band has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such acts as Blessid Union of Souls, Corey Stevens, The Nada's, Kory and the Fireflies, as well as playing Sioux City's 2004 Saturday in the Park Festival. In addition to their acoustic guitar, bass and drums, they feature a stellar musician on saxophone. This instrumentation, along with superb song writing, contributes to an overall sound that is new and exciting.
