At the beginning of 2003 Qoy had already contacted a group called Mercury Program for a possible collaboration and the same time was a little bitter from the lackluster cooperation by Future Jazz Project in their last live performance. Qoy re-invented his style with a very simplistic manner about recording his second album "Concoction". The song "Timeless" was already written and rehearsed and completed as far as lyrics are concern yet there was no title for the second album when the end of February moved along into March. March was a very emotional month for the idiosyncratic artist due to getting on in the city, writing, opening websites, managing a label with 14 employees working and living in seven different countries and also staying close to his second passion Culinary Arts it was no wonder why Qoy decided to produce and record an album with a sense of humor, simplistic value and a sense of organic 80ish retro album like "Concoction". "Leafnotes" still has proven that the LP has future timing all over it yet it also has it's flare of retro-ness, vastly recorded, and live nature of Qoy. What will be with the third album? Only Qoy knows. The third will be as to my prediction a sacred upgraded euphoria. Qoy still finds that right source to keep himself from falling into a runt. Which remains to be known that Qoy will always make music based on his mood and introspection, I consider Qoy to be one of the most eclectic and daring artist in the music world today the only artist that'll risk everything to just produce and record an album with a sound that no one has ever heard and also making fans adjust to his strange way of recording on each album he produces (*Given the fact that both of his albums never contains samples just original music). Qoy written, composed, produced, mastered, and co-engineered with his side-kick Shalee and Kevin N.. Qoy a control freak? No, just an artist who loves to get his hands on the tools and ink.
