Fairbanks, Alaska has been Julie Rafferty's home for the last 20 years, and despite the brutal winters she's found no finer place. She grew up in Seattle and after a few years of college ventured north to Alaska, working summers in Glacier Bay National Monument and Denali National Park. Eventually, she settled into Fairbanks which is the next "big town" north of Denali.

She's performed folk, rock, jazz, cabaret and musical theatre in various venues and for the past 10 years she's concentrated on a jazz/standard repertoire. She's been a featured vocalist with trios, combos and the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra,entertaining throughout Washington, Alaska and Canada. Reviewers most often note Julie's eclectic repertoire, her infectious arrangements and her refreshing vocal delivery.

Her debut CD "No Finer Place" is recorded in an easy jazz/pop style and features:
