Details:
"The Apostle of Reality" marks the first solo album from guitarist Fred Raimondi. Recorded continuously for the last two years, "The Apostle of Reality" mixes rock, progressive rock, and jazz into an eclectic blend that will surely elicit a rise from not only the hard core guitar fan, but also progressive rock and jazz listeners alike. Definitely a guitar album, Raimondi manages to create what he calls "walls of guitars" creating rich textural landscapes that are both guitaristic and rhythmic.

"The Apostle of Reality" also contains two cover tunes which have always been favorites of Raimondi. The first, Jimmy Webb's "Wichita Lineman" takes the tune into a rockier direction with a backbeat that is much more Led Zeppelin than Glen Campbell.

On The Beatles, "I Am the Walrus;" Raimondi plays all the parts (except for the electric piano, drums, and voice) on guitar. His phrasing and layering creates a feeling that harkens back to the original, yet adds the character of the guitar for a new look at a seldom covered rock classic.

Raimondi's compositions range from rock, to jazz, and acoustic, and manage to dapple bits of synthesizer, piano, and orchestral instruments onto the canvas to create a really huge sound.

Fred Raimondi has been playing guitar since his "First Holy Communion" and continues to compose, record, and experiment with music, images, and sound in Pasadena, California.
