"Randi Driscoll's piano driven acoustic music is as hauntingly modern as it is classic" -San Diego fan

In 1998, Randi wrote and recorded the benefit single, "What Matters," in response to the death of Matthew Shepard, a young man killed in a brutal hate crime. The song was written to honor his life, his family and the unconditional love they represent.

"What Matters" is endorsed by Matthew's parents and The Matthew Shepard Foundation, GLAAD, GLSEN and several other organizations.100 of the proceeds benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation, started by Matthew's parents after their son's death. The goal of the Foundation is to replace hate with understanding and compassion. To date, the benefit single has raised over $25,000 for the Foundation.

The song has been featured in the documentaries Youth Outloud! and Out in the Cold, as well as in a commercial directed by Spike Lee that aired during the 1999 Academy Awards. "What Matters" was also featured in the NBC film, The Matthew Shepard Story, starring Stockard Channing and Sam Waterson.

Randi has spent the past two years, touring the country as an independent artist, promoting the single and raising awareness. To date, she has performed at over 30 Pride Festivals and over 100 benefit related concerts in the USA and Canada. "What Matters" is generously being sold by CD baby!-
