Details:
Raul Regalado resides in Toronto, Ontario. He lives alone except for two cats, and he typically works alone, preferring to compose, perform and record music as well as design his own album artwork in solitude, surrounded by his Mac-based home studio and electronic toys.

Raul's taste in music encompasses almost all genres and eras, which partly explains why a new project of his hardly ever sounds like any of the previous ones. He doesn't like sitting still - both literally and in terms of his creative output. "I think there's little point in going over the same territory repeatedly," Raul said. "I'm much more interested in finding out if I can use the bits of ideas I pick up listening to other artists' work and combine them with my own 'style', whatever that may be, to come up with something that entertains me and hopefully other people as well."

"'I Didn't See the Curve Coming' is made up of some of the stuff I've completed since 'Drop'," Raul said. "For some reason, these particular 11 tracks just seemed to belong together. I guess I've moved on from the kind of thing I was doing on the first album," he added. "It was a much less rigid method of composition this time around. For each track, I had a pretty concrete idea of how I wanted it to sound, where I wanted the piece to go, and so on. Then I just started recording, piling on different elements until I ended up with either something like what I was imagining or something else that was even more interesting."

As for where the title of the album comes from, all Raul will say is, "I wanted a title that wasn't one word. I may have gone too far the other way."
