Composer, producer, pianist Raymond Jones releases his third CD, INTIMATE on uegmusic.com. The twelve compositions take the listener to romantic musical spaces and beyond. Incorporating a mix of jazz, Latin and R&B elements, INTIMATE is a complete work featuring insightful lyrics and contemporary rhythms.

Highlights include the strings and piano of the first track INTIMACY, which give the listener a sense of soaring with the pianist as he expands on his improvised motifs until one feels the notes just fly away. This leads into the sexually charged BAD FOR ME sung by Lori Perry. The composition speaks of intimate moments with someone who feels good to be with but in the overall picture is not the right one (beyond brief moments of ecstasy). DANCE features Norma Jean Wright letting loose on a (modified) blues piece about seeing an old friend at a party and wanting to dance. But there is a wife involved and it could make things difficult if not explained. DESTINY features Raymond playing piano with a slow build, which reaches its climax in the last choruses of the song. All that is missing is a bottle of good wine and a fireplace. ALL I NEED features Ms Alexx Daye in a romantic mood as well. The song describes how the charm and love from a paramour have changed the singer's life. With piano and soprano saxophone solos adding statements, the piece becomes a standout. WHAT YOU WANNA DO features Eric Gable singing with insight and depth about a love that is tearing apart. The congas and piano solo add to the sense of smoldering urgency the song emits. The title cut (INTIMATE) is an all out Latin-Jazz instrumental featuring piano and a burning electric guitar solo (by Fred Clark).

INTIMATE features old and new friends of Raymond including members of his regular west coast based band (bassist Del Atkins, guitarist Fred Clark, drummer Tony Moore and vocalist Ms Alexx Daye). Special guest vocalists include: Eric Gable, Lori Perry, Norma Jean Wright and Zachary Pugh. Guest musicians include flautist Art Webb, trumpeter Leslie Drayton, trombonist Stephen Baxter (Gap Band), flautist/saxophonist Fernando Harkless (War), saxophonist Andre Roberson (Maxwell) among others.
